Description

Abandon irrationality all ye who enter the FRACTURE!

Math is breaking, leaving chaos and terror in its wake. The ancient Cult of Pythagoras has broken physics and reality through an arcane incantation, opening a dreaded ArithmeRift in Seattle's Georgetown Steam Plant. The agents of the federal government's Situationally Uncertain Mathematics Mitigation (SUMM) Division are there to save math and contain the Fracture. But they need help from YOU.

Explorations into the Fracture will commence from Thursday 10 October through Sunday 13th October 2024. Warning: evening explorations will experience extreme darkness, flashing lights, loud noises, and sudden frights. Daytime versions are less frightening, family friendly. Groups will enter every thirty minutes. Would you like to join the team?

Registration: General admission is FREE on a first come, first served basis, however, if you would like to secure a specific time to enter the ArithmeRift, you may register for a $5.00 fee. Walkups will still be available, even if a time appears to sell out. Walkups must check in by 4:15pm for afternoon/All Age sessions and by 9:15pm for evening sessions.

We are grateful for your donations that allow us to thrill and delight you with the power of math.

Venue Information and Accessibility: The Georgetown Steam Plant is located at 6605 13th Ave. South, Seattle—adjacent to Boeing Field/King County International Airport. The Fracture experience takes place on the first floor, which is wheelchair accessible. There are no restroom facilities in the building. We have a wheelchair accessible portable toilet on the property. The Steam Plant is not heated and can get very chilly during the colder months of the year. Please dress warmly! Your venture into the ArithmeRift will be approximately 20 minutes long.

Parking and Transportation: There are plenty of parking spots in the lot outside of the venue, and there should be parking attendants to help you. Please be sure to not block the doors of local businesses when parking. Metro Bus routes 60 and 124 are the closest stops to the Georgetown Steam Plant.
