Description
Join us for Saturday Origami @ SUMM, designed for 1st – 5th graders and their parents! This four-week course blends art and mathematics, offering a hands-on approach to geometry, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving. Each session will include an entry challenge, icebreaker activity, and guided lesson.
Weekly Themes:
- Week 1 - May 3: Origami Essentials
- Week 2 - May 10: 2D Modular Star
- Week 3 - May 17: Froebel Fold
- Week 4 - May 24: 3D Modular Polyhedra
No prior origami experience is needed! Children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver, who will be encouraged to participate as well to create a shared learning experience.
